Working Group "Ticks and tick-borne diseases" was created in September 2004. It now includes 38 members of nine research institutes (INRA, CNRS, CIRAD, Institut Pasteur, IRD, Tour du Valat, Ecole Vétérinaire de Maison -Alfort, Bourgogne University, University of Rennes) and the veterinary doctors in office.

The focus group members can be broadly grouped into two broad themes:
  • Ticks of the Ixodes ricinus complex and those of complex I. uriae and they transmit diseases, including Lyme borreliosis.
  • Ticks tropical and emerging diseases potentially transmitted or transmitted (heartwater, African swine fever, West Nile).

This site presents the various group members and their contact details, research themes and the summaries of presentations made during the group's first meeting on 17 December 2004.
